Bradley Dack has praised the man-management skills of boss Tony Mowbray for bringing out the best in him.

Dack starred in his first year at Rovers, scoring 18 goals en route to winning the League One player of the year prize.

The 24-year-old is now looking to kick-on in the Championship and has thanked the boss for the faith shown in him throughout his 12 months at Ewood Park.

He told the club website: “The gaffer has played a massive part in my good season last term.

“There have been one or two times where he’s sat me down and given me a telling off but he’s always trying to help you.

“He’s brought me on as a player and as a person and all credit to him.

“I don’t have a bad word to say about him. He’s been brilliant with me. If I’m honest I think sometimes part of my personality is being a little bit cheeky and getting into trouble.

“That’s where the boss has been really good with me.

“He’s not a shouter, he just sits me down, tells me off if he needs to, praises me if he needs to and his man management is excellent. He’s got it spot on with me.

“He says to me all the time about knowing my role in the team and he lets me express himself.

“He likes players who can do something different.

“He has full belief in me and has given me that license to play. He’s been perfect for me.”
