Rovers are in talks with defender Derrick Williams over a new contract.
The club are understood to be progressing with discussions with a number of players, including 2016/17 player of the year Williams.
The 25-year-old won his first Republic of Ireland cap last month and has missed just one game since Tony Mowbray took charge.
Williams has a year to run on his current deal since joining from Bristol City in the summer of 2016 for a fee in the region of £250,000.
The full-back, who has also played in the centre of defence, is seven games short of a century for the club, and has been a consistent figure in the back four.
Following the successful promotion campaign, Rovers are keen to reward their star names with new deals as Mowbray looks to plan for the future.
League One player of the year Bradley Dack, defender Darragh Lenihan and midfield enforcer Richie Smallwood are among those the club are looking to tie down.
And talks are believed to be progressing well ahead of the players returning to pre-season training on Sunday.
