CLARETS reporter Tyrone Marshall hands out the player ratings from Burnley's 5-0 defeat at Arsenal.
Nick Pope 6
Made a fine first half save to keep out Mkhitaryan’s deflected shot, but left badly exposed
Matt Lowton 5
Wasted a couple of good crossing opportunities in the first half. Exposed by Kolasinac’s forays forward
James Tarkowski 5
Loose in possession on a couple of occasions and almost played himself into trouble on the edge of the box in the first half
Kevin Long 5
Struggled with the movement of Aubameyang and Lacazette, with Arsenal finding space in the area
Stephen Ward 4
Lost Lacazette for the opening goal and troubled by the movement down his flank
Aaron Lennon 4
Was narrow defensively which allowed Kolasinac space down Arsenal’s left. Never in the game offensively
Jack Cork 5
Battled hard and kept going, but completely overrun by Arsenal’s midfield and beaten easily by Wilshere in lead up to third goal
Ashley Westwood 6
Calm on the ball tried to shield the back four, but given few options to pick a pass going forward
Johann Berg Gudmundsson 5
Troubled by Bellerin’s bursts from right-back and his pace, with the Spaniard a constant threat going forward. JBG the bright spark in attack though
Jeff Hendrick 6 (Man of the Match)
Looked better for his break from the side. Got through a tremendous amount of work trying to link midfield and attack, got his head up to try and find forward passes. Created the best chance with a cross for Vokes
Ashley Barnes 5
Afternoon ended early through injury but had been given no service while he was on the pitch
Subs
Sam Vokes for Barnes (22) 5
Should have done better with headed chance from Hendrick’s cross. Well handled by Mavropanos
Georges-Kevin Nkoudou for Lennon (71)
Nahki Wells for Gudmundsson (89)
Subs not used: Tom Heaton, Phil Bardsley, Charlie Taylor, Dean Marney
Arsenal: Petr Cech, Hector Bellerin, Calum Chambers (Per Mertesacker 77), Konstantinos Mavropanos, Sead Kolasinac, Granit Xhaka, Jack Wilshere (Aaron Ramsey 72), Alex Iwobi, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette (Danny Welbeck 72)
Subs not used: David Ospina, Shkodran Mustafi, Nacho Monreal, Ainsley Maitland-Niles
