BENNI McCarthy will have a medical today to assess if he is fit enough to travel to Finland later this week for Blackburn's UEFA Cup tie.
The striker was unconscious for two minutes after collapsing following a clash of heads with Middlesbrough's Chris Riggott.
He was taken to hospital, but was well enough to return to Blackburn with the rest of the team on Saturday.
Today's examination by club doctor Phil Batty is normal procedure for a player suffering from concussion.
The results will then be assessed, and Rovers will take a decision on whether McCarthy will travel with the rest of squad on Wednesday for the clash against MyPa 47.
