MODERN pentathlete Sam Murray has been named in the British squad for this week's World Cup meeting in Poland.
The Clitheroe ace, a silver medalist in the London 2012 Olympics, is part of a three-strong women's team for the event in Drzonkow which begins today.
Murray, 27, is joined by Joanna Muir and Francesca Summers with qualification taking place today before tomorrow's fencing ranking round and Saturday's final.
Team GB won't be entering a team in the mixed relay to allow the athletes a week of training ahead of the British Open modern pentathlon championships in Bath on Sunday, June 4.
The World Cup event in Drzonkow is the final competition of the four stage regular series and is the last opportunity for Murray and Co to gain points to try and qualify for the final in Druskininkai, Lithuania at the end of next month.
