DAVID Raya admits his opportunity in the Rovers first-team has been a while in the waiting, but hopes he has impressed in his two outings over the Easter period.
Raya’s 20-month absence from league action was ended on Good Friday as an ankle injury halted Jason Steele’s 82 game run of consecutive Championship starts.
Spaniard Raya kept a clean sheet at Forest and made a string of important stops in the draw with Bristol City on Monday.
Ahead of a third straight start at Wolves, Raya told the club’s official website: “In these two games I feel that I have done all right.
“The last game I played in the league was August 2015 against Bolton so it has been a long wait but as soon as you get the chance you have to take it.
“It feels good (making saves) but the most important thing is it is my job and that’s what I have to do for the team and myself.
“The main thing was getting the win on Friday and then a point on Monday.”
