TYIAS BROWNING

AS promising as the emergence of teenager Ryan Nyambe has been, right-back could be an area that Rovers look to strengthen in January.

That could lead them to Everton youngster Tyias Browning, who is still waiting for his first taste of Premier League football this season.

The 22-year-old was already behind Seamus Coleman in Goodison Park pecking order and Mason Holgate also seems to have overtaken him in Ronald Koeman’s thoughts.

Lancashire Telegraph:

The athletic Browning, out of contract in the summer, made five Premier League outings last season, though he has struggled with injury as of late, which could make a spell out on loan beneficial for all parties.

ABDOUL BA

ROVERS were interested in a summer move for Lens’ 6ft 7in centre-back Abdoul Ba and given the defensive struggles this season boss Owen Coyle could well re-visit this deal.

Coyle was understood to have made bids for the Mauritanian international towards the end of the window when the player was thought to be keen on an Ewood move.

The 22-year-old is out of contract in 2018 and has been short of game-time for the Ligue Two side this season.

Signing a central defender could also allow either Darragh Lenihan or Charlie Mulgrew to move in to midfield.

TOUMANI DIAGOURAGA

THE midfielder is free to leave Leeds United having played just once this season under Garry Monk.

The Frenchman cost Leeds in the region of £1million when they signed him from Brentford in January but has not played for the club since the opening day of the season.

Lancashire Telegraph:

Diagouraga is an experienced Championship campaigner, and at 29, would be a player who could step straight in the first-team scene.

The 6’2” midfielder would add a much needed physical presence to the middle of the park, but he is also no slouch in possession.

He spent six years with Brentford in which he helped them to promotion from League One while also playing 43 times in 2014-15 for the Bees as they reached the Championship play-offs.

He played 20 times for Leeds last season so is not short of Championship experience.
