PAUL Lambert could be set to raid his former club in the January transfer window after being linked with a move for Blackburn Rovers' Ben Marshall. 

The Sun report that Rovers' Championship rivals are interested in a move for 25-year-old Marshall whose deal expires at the end of the season.

Rovers have offered Marshall a new contract, although talks have stalled somewhat, with Owen Coyle expecting the player's representative to assess the options available when the transfer window re-opens next month. 

The right-sided player is said to be interesting former Rovers boss Lambert, who joined Wolves following the departure of Walter Zenga, having left the Ewood Park job at the end of last season. 

Marshall's wage demands are reported to be £25,000, with Rovers said to value him in the region of £1.5m. 

He joined Blackburn in 2013 from Leicester, going on to make 136 appearances to date, including all but one of their league games so far this season. 

Fulham and Ipswich have previously been linked wi‎th a move for Marshall, though Coyle has stressed he wants to keep the former Stoke City man at the club.
