BLACKBURN Rovers defender Shane Duffy has been named in the Republic of Ireland squad for friendlies with Switzerland and Slovakia later this month.
Burnley's Stephen Ward is also included in the provisional squad as is Darwen-born Cardiff City midfielder Anthony Pilkington.
The Irish host Switzerland on Friday, March 25, before entertaining Slovakia on Tuesday, March 29.
Ireland boss Martin O'Neill will trim his 40-man squad on March 20.
