I HAVE been disappointed to hear some fans suggesting it was time for Sean Dyche to leave after our recent run of indifferent form.

I have to disagree with them, this manager has done a great job for the club and I’m sure now that money is available, we will bounce back to form sooner rather than later.

MORE TOP STORIES:

I understand we have not been in the best of form and that tells a story. We must splash out and get new faces into the squad.

I was pleased to hear that Dyche is going into the transfer window with money to spend.

I’m sure he will spend wisely and I hope he will get cover for a few positions as we looked lethargic at Hull.

I was pleased to see changes to the team for the win over Bristol City to freshen things up.

I had asked Santa for three points when the Clarets went to the KC Stadium on Boxing Day.

Considering we had won nine of the previous 10 matches at Hull, I thought we would get something from the game. But it wasn’t to be and we went down 3-0.

It could have been another story if our leading goalscorer Andre Gray had taken a clear-cut chance to equalise when he was presented with a sitter after Harry Maguire fluffed his clearance.

We all know goals win games and if we had taken that chance, which was the best of the match, I felt it would have given us the incentive to go on and win the match.

Still, all is not lost as we have just reached the halfway mark of the season and we’re sitting nicely in contention.

One thing I do know is you don’t go from being a good side to a poor side overnight.

Steve Bruce has said we are a good side, but he would say that, after giving us a spanking.

Just to finish off, here’s hoping you all have a very happy New Year and the Clarets get back to the Premier League in 2016.
