Steve Cotterill is likely to be preparing for Sunday's final game of the season, at home to Coventry City, without James O'Connor.
The midfielder is expected to remain sidelined after suffering concussion in the 3-2 win over West Brom almost two weeks ago, while Chris McCann will be monitored ahead of the game after limping out of last Friday's game at Sunderland with an ankle problem.
"The chances are he won't be involved," Cotterill said.
"He had a bad knock the other week that, if he gets another one, there could be problems. He's all right.
"The scan showed a bit of fluid on the side of his head, so he probably has started his summer.
"Chris McCann took a bit of a knock but has done some light training with the physio.
"We'll wait and see how he is."
