HOLE Ith Wall are the new Blackburn Combination Premier Division champions, clinching their second title in three years.

Hole claimed the crown in style, cruising to a 4-1 at Islington – and now they are on course for a league and cup double.

They will lock horns with The Ivy in the final of the Sports Council Cup at Darwen’s Anchor Ground on May 5.

The Ivy needed extra time to claim their place in the final, though, edging out Blackburn United 2-1.

Hole Ith Wall, who are sponsored by local firm North West Tippers Ltd, will continue their celebrations tonight when they host bottom club Blackburn Olympic – and they will be red hot favourites to finish their league campaign with another home win.

Clifton are also in action tonight, and they will want to end the season on a winning note when they face Islington after last weekend’s 2-2 draw with Anchor.

Rishton United claimed a top four place in the Premier Division, thumping bottom club Blackburn Olympic 5-1, just four days after Olympic crashed 7-1 to The Ivy.
