TOP dogs Rimington are stumbling towards the First Division title.
Terry Braithwaite’s men were made to work hard for a share of the spoils as Burnley Belvedere held the champions-elect to a 1-1 draw at Holden Road.
Read United could also be celebrating a title success, a 1-0 victory at Rock Rovers saw them ease a couple of points clear of Belvedere in the race for the Reserve Division championship.
Waddington also banked an away win, edging past Langho 4-3 at Ryddings, while Feniscowles & Pleasington cruised to a 3-1 victory at Mill Hill.
Waddington are also through to the third round of the Bob Little Cup, courtesy of a 4-2 success at Rosegrove Railway.
And in the Presidents Cup, Burnley Athletic, Rishton United, Oswaldtwistle St Mary’s and Whinney Hill all booked their places in the fourth round of the competition.
