FALKIRK manager Eddie May refused to be downcast despite his side's Europa League exit to FC Vaduz after extra time.
The Bairns were unable to repel a dominate display from Pierre Littbarski's side as the Liechtenstein team bounced back from their 1-0 defeat at Westfield to march through 2-1 on aggregate.
A first-half goal from defender Emil Noll levelled the scores and May's men survived further onsalught to go into extra time.
But winger Franz Burgmeier rifled home the 105th-minute winner. May said: "It was a tough night. The first half was poor the way we played, but our back four were absolutely fantastic the majority of the night.
"We had a couple of boys who were carrying knocks, but unfortunately we've not got the biggest of squads.
"However, I'm not going to make that as an excuse. The tie has come far too early from us. I think they are a week from their season.
"If we were to play them a week before our season, I'm more than confident we would do better."
