A TEENAGE girl has been left traumatised after a sickening sex attack in Glasgow's West End.

The 16-year-old was indecently assaulted in the Woodlands area at around 11.30pm on Friday night.

She was approached by the man who then forced her down a lane near to Kelvinbridge where he indecently assaulted her.

Following the incident, the girl managed to make her way home.

Although extremely upset, she did not require medical attention.

Detective Constable Lyn Ferguson said: "The victim is very traumatised by her ordeal and it is important that we trace the person responsible.

"I would urge anyone who was in the area at around 11.15pm on Friday night and saw anything suspicious to contact me."

The suspect is Asian, around 5ft 9in tall, aged around 18 or 19, of slim build with dark hair which was spikey at the front and short at the sides, with sideburns.

He had a fresh complexion and was wearing a silver earring on his right ear and a thick diamond shape chain.

He wore a blue hoodie top, denims and Cat boots.
