THE high cost of UK housing has led to two in five young adults contemplating buying abroad to get on the property ladder, a new report suggests.
Research from insurer Hiscox found almost 40% of 18 to 24-year-olds were thinking of investing in bricks and mortar overseas as a way of getting into property.
High house prices were the largest push factor, with 88% of respondents saying they were the main barrier to buying in the UK.
