FORMER Burnley College pupil Marko Marosi made the first start of his senior career when he lined up in goal for Doncaster Rovers in their FA Cup third round replay at Bristol City.
Marosi, who is a Slovakia under 21 international, joined Doncaster from Wigan Athletic in the summer and has taken the role of back-up keeper this term.
But Sam Johnstone’s recall from his loan from Manchester United in order to join Preston gave Marosi his opportunity in the FA Cup.
Doncaster were beaten 2-0 but it was only Marosi’s second appearance for the club, after he came on for the injured Jed Steer at Walsall in September.
