This afternoon's Foster's Worsley Cup final between Rawtenstall and Burnley has been cancelled after heavy rain this morning.

The Worswick Memorial Ground has  taken a battering from the weather and while the entire square and bowler's run ups have been covered all night and are dry there are several puddles in the outfield.

More rain is forecast and the Lancashire League executuve have made an early decision to call the showpiece off.

The final will now take place next Saturday - and if it is called off then, a reserve date of September 6 has been put in place.
