PAUL Sutcliffe and Paul Brett have been crowned champions of the annual Greenhill Bowling Club Doubles competition.
The winning pair beat Dave Scott and Andy Tate in the dramatic final at the Burnley club.
The climax of the competition brought the top eight pairs together on finals day and Sutcliffe and Brett began their march to the final with a steady 21-11 victory over Kevin Bond and William McLellan in the quarter finals.
They were even more convincing in the semi finals, running out 21-6 winners against Peter Harrison and Phil Wilkinson.
However, they were pushed all final by Scott and Tate, eventually winning 21-18. Scott and Tate beat Dennis Hartley and Paul Fisher and Peter Harrison and Phil Wilkinson on their way to the final
