DAILY SPORTS DEBATE: Was play-off final result good for Blackburn Rovers or Burnley?

Lancashire Telegraph: Harry Redknapp won promotion with QPR on Saturday Harry Redknapp won promotion with QPR on Saturday

QPR beat Derby County 1-0 at Wembley on Saturday in the Championship play-off final to seal their return to the Premier League.

Bobby Zamora’s late goal was enough to give Harry Redknapp’s side victory.

Was the result of the Championship play-off final good or bad news for Blackburn Rovers in their bid for promotion next season, and was it good or bad for Burnley in their quest to stay in the Premier League?

DiffIcult question as a rover im glad qpr have moved up a league.derby are a far better team but the london club have the 'sugar daddy' which makes the most difference.we know the 6 teams who join us next year and i expect the relegated clubs and wolves to be in the mix next season.Over to you clarets

How does a score merit debate if it was good for blackburn rovers? Regardless of who won, its up to rovers and not the losing finalists to prove themselves! Talk about creating a stupid debate!

What a completely nonsensical question! Next season is a brand new start with or without QPR for for that matter any other team. Come on LET - make some effort with your features!

Not a nonsensical question at all! As a Rovers fan, would you prefer Derby or QPR in the Championship next season as promotion rivals? For what it's worth I think I would prefer Derby to stay down simply because QPR would probably have thrown loads of money at getting promoted despite FFP. Derby on the other hand may well lose a couple of their decent players and have no big names of note. Rovers didn't lose to either of them last season so I am not hugely bothered either way. I'm sure Burnley fans don't care that QPR got promoted because the likelihood is they will get spanked most weeks anyway. Derby might have been regarded as an easier couple of games had they gone up.
