THE BELLUSCI brothers will be out to make up for missing out on individual glory when they team up in their quest for doubles glory.

Elmo and Alfonso are in to the last four of the Blackburn, Darwen and District Games Federation pairs competition.

The pair, who both play for Hollins Grove, take on Jonny Hannon and Mark Slatter in the semi final to be held tonight at Mill Hill Working Men’s Club.

Both men fell to the talents of Ricky Hardman in the singles tournament.

Elmo was beaten in the semi finals by the Ewood man before Alfonso lost 3-2 in the final – having led 2-0 at one stage thanks to two breaks of 60.

But Hardman showed real steel to fight back to level before winning the decisive fifth frame.

The winners of tonight’s semi final will play Lee Whittle and Frank Jex Jnr who beat Steve Woods and Mick Clarke in an all-Audley clash.

The final wil be played on May 29 at Mill Hill WMC.
