Edmund has lost his way a bit on his two most recent outings but he can get back on the winning trail in the ApolloBet Best Odds Handicap Chase at Carlisle.

A winner at Newcastle in December, Edmund returned to that track in January but a bad mistake saw him crash out on that occasion.

Trainer Ann Hamilton obviously wanted to give him a nice run back following that mishap and while Edmund's fencing was a bit sketchy at some points, his second at Carlisle was at least a completed clear round.

Rated 98, Edmund looks capable of ranking a bit higher yet and is worth another chance here.

Volcanic can make a successful British bow in the ApolloBet In-Play Betting "National Hunt" Novices' Hurdle.

Previously trained in France, the five-year-old was a multiple bumper winner before making the switch to join Donald McCain.

Having also raced over fences and hurdles in France without success, Volcanic has plenty of experience for this hurdles heat.

Thomas Wild boasts a fine record over fences and he can further enhance his statistics in the Bathwick Tyres Bridgwater Handicap Chase at Wincanton.

He enjoyed a slice of fortune when winning at Exeter as a loose horse interfered with a leader who looked a certain winner.

That allowed Thomas Wild another bite of the cherry and he grasped the opportunity with both hands to win by just over a length to supplement an earlier success at Newton Abbot last April.

That took his tally to two wins in his last four chase outings and given that Exeter outing was his first run since last May, Philip Hobbs deserves plenty of credit for having his charge primed for his seasonal bow.

That win came over three miles but having proved his stamina on more than one occasion in the past, a step back up in trip is of little concern for Thomas Wild.

Passing Star made quite an impression with his debut win and he can step up again as he tackles the Download The BetVictor App Now Handicap at Kempton.

Trained by Charlie Hills, Passing Star hails from the family of Group Three winner Shining Hour and appeared to have inherited more than a modicum of ability with a narrow verdict at Lingfield last month.

While a neck success could hardly be termed impressive, the way Passing Star rallied again when put under pressure by a more experienced rival was very promising indeed.

Runner-up Treasure Cay gives the form a very solid look and an initial mark of 75 gives Hills something to work on.

Waveguide is on quite a roll at present and can defy top weight in the Download The BetVictor App Now Fillies' Handicap.

The five-year-old took a fair while to get off the mark, but now that she has started winning, the mare cannot put a foot wrong.

Her neck victory at Lingfield must have delighted David Simcock, although it did not appear to be the strongest race and she was allowed an easy lead.

However, she proved it was no flash in the pan when defying a 2lb rise to strike again over the same 10 furlongs, again in a very average race.

This event could be similarly run of the mill and while Waveguide is saddled with a further 2lb, she should be capable of finding the necessary extra once again.

Moorhouse Lad has tumbled down the ratings as he has reaches the twilight of his career, but it is not beyond the realms of possibility that he can claim gold once again at Southwell.

Rated 112 in his pomp and winner of two Group Threes, it is some time since Moorhouse Lad has hit the target, with his last victory coming in April 2010.

That said, the 11-year-old has not totally lost the plot and is still more than capable of hitting the frame, as he showed when a close-up third at Kempton most recently.

He disputed the lead all the way to the line but had to settle for minor honours off a mark of 77, the same perch on which he lines up in the Compare Bookmakers At bookmakers.co.uk Handicap.

Moorhouse Lad is clearly not the horse he once was but back at Southwell, where he has won before, he can roll back the years.

Gogeo thrives on the Fibresand and can go in once again in the Coral Mobile "Just Three Clicks To Bet" Selling Stakes.

Alan Swinbank's seven-year-old has won his last three starts at the track, including a jumpers' bumper last month.

His two other recent wins came in better company than this and while he is disadvantaged by the weights compared to some, Gogeo is still the one to be on.
