Padiham 0 Darlington 1883 2
DARLINGTON consolidated their place in the play-offs with a 2-0 win at the Arbories but they didn’t have it all their own way.
The visitors edged the first half and went ahead in the 14th minute when David Dawson held off Jack Overson before curling a shot beyond Padiham keeper Sean Davis.
Padiham upped the tempo in the second half. Danny Boyle forced Mark Bell in to an acrobatic save from a 20 yard effort and the Darlington keeper produced an even better save to keep out Louis Mayers’ header.
Darlington scored a second in the 68th minute when Nathan Fisher netted from close range.
