ACCRINGTON Stanley boss James Beattie believes he has one of the club’s best squads at his disposal after the Reds picked up another point in a 0-0 draw with Wycombe.

After waiting 10 games for their first win of the season, Stanley are now becoming a very difficult side to beat having lost just once in their last eight matches.

And Beattie is pleased that his side have developed a happy knack of picking up points.

He said: “We have some great players on the bench and it’s one of the best squads Stanley have ever seen.

“We’re looking harder to beat now and due to the circumstances I’m happy with a point going into next week.

“At the moment we’re hard to beat and I can’t compliment Marcus Bettinelli enough, when called upon today he did his job again.”

And Beattie felt his side could have chalked up another away victory given their dominance in the final third of the match.

He said: “Towards the end I think there was only one team that was going to score and that was us.

“I’m delighted with the discipline shown by the players and it’s a well earned point.

“We were hard to beat and when you come away to big stadiums you have to quieten the crowd down and we did that.”
