- WELCOME to a wet and windy Huish Park for the first competitive meeting between Yeovil Town and Blackburn Rovers. Don't miss a kick of the action from Rovers' final game before Christmas with our live blog.
FULL-TIME Yeovil 0 Rovers 1.
SUB for Rovers. Jordan Rhodes off, Rudy Gestede on. 0-1.
Ruben Rochina, who has looked really lively since coming on, has just curled shot not far wide. Lost count of amount of chances. Two mins to go. 0-1.
Four minutes of injury-time. This second half has been absolutely breathless stuff. Doubt many Rovers fans will have any fingernails left. 0-1.
Brilliant double save from Marek Stech denies Tom Cairney and then Jordan Rhodes as Rovers break away after Ishmael Miller has penalty appeal turned down. 90 mins. 0-1.
Joel Grant, who is really causing Adam Henley problems, cut inside and his well struck shot is saved at the second attempt by Simon Eastwood. Close. 86 mins. 0-1.
Rovers coming under a lot of pressure now. Six minutes to go. 0-1.
BOOKED Luke Ayling for Yeovil. 76 mins. 0-1.
SUB for Yeovil, Ed Upson on, John Lundstram off, and for Rovers, Chris Taylor off, Lee Williamson on. 75 mins. 0-1.
Remarkable effort by Ruben Rochina who 20 yards out puts right foot behind his left and fires the ball toward goal where Marek Stech was well placed to tip over. 74 mins. 0-1.
BOOKED John Lundstram for Rovers. 72 mins. 0-1.
SUB for Rovers, David Dunn off, Ruben Rochina on, and for Yeovil, Liam Davis off, James Hayter on. 68 mins. 0-1.
This game is crazy. Joe Ralls with a superb right-footed curler from 22 yards hits the post. 63 mins. 0-1.
This is going to be a long match report. David Dunn - really revelling in the hole - has just forced Marek Stech into punching the ball out from 20 yards. 61 mins. 0-1.
That ends an absolutely mad last few minutes. Moments earlier Tommy Spurr had burst into the box, evaded the last man and saw his dinked effort saved by Marek Stech.
Moments later Rovers were back in the Yeovil box and David Dunn squared the ball for Jordan Rhodes, who took a touch before side-footing into the top corner. That's his 13th of the campaign.
GOAL 1-0 Rovers. Jordan Rhodes. 59 mins.
Wow, Ishmael Miller has just cracked a left-footed effort off the bar from the edge of the area. Game is really open now. 57 mins. 0-0.
Then, down at the other end, Simon Eastwood pulls off an excellent save from Ishmael Miller after he outmuscled Tommy Spurr. 56 mins. 0-0.
David Dunn drives at the Yeovil defence, brings the ball on to his right-foot and, with defenders in front of him, curls straight at Marek Stech. 56 mins. 0-0.
Attendance is 7,179 (1,074 Rovers fans).
Nothing wrong with Simon Eastwood's shot-stopping. John Lundstram - who had taken the initial corner - receives the ball in acres of space on the left-side of the area and his fierce strike is tipped over by the Rovers goalkeeper. 53 mins. 0-0.
Ishmael Miller - playing in a new shirt without a number on it - shows his strength in the box and fires over cross that Scott Dann turns behind for a corner. 52 mins. 0-0.
Liam Davis cross causes Simon Eastwood all sorts of problems, dropping the ball at the feet of sub Kevin Dawson, whose shot hit Eastwood - lying flat on his back - and was cleared. 46 mins. 0-0.
Second half has kicked off. No changes for either side.
HALF-TIME Yeovil 0 Rovers 0.
And another chance wasted. Ball breaks to David Dunn and he slides the perfect pass into Jordan Rhodes who, 12 yards from goal on an angle, sees his side-footed cleared behind by the busy Marek Stech. 45 mins. 0-0.
Yeovil ending the half strongly. Rovers have to be careful here. 43 mins. 0-0.
Yeovil threaten for the first time. Joel Grant wins 50-50 with Adam Henley on the touchline, advances and side-foots over a dangerous cross that Tom Cairney did so well to get back and clear for a corner, from which Simon Eastwood flaps and misses. 40 mins. 0-0.
Ben Marshall lays the ball off for Tom Cairney and his inswinging left-footed cross is a good one but it just evades Jordan Rhodes and David Dunn in the box. 37 mins. 0-0.
SUB for Yeovil. Injured Byron Webster off, Kevin Dawson on. 36 mins. 0-0.
More pressure from Rovers, Tom Cairney slipping inside and firing left-footed 18-yard shot that Marek Stech got low down to his left to gather. 34 mins. 0-0.
Rovers don't want to score. Their movement in midfield has been excellent - far too good for Yeovil - but their finishing has been woeful. Another swift counter attack ends with Chris Taylor spraying the ball wide to Ben Marshall, who cuts into the box and sends right-footed curler high over the bar. 33 mins. 0-0.
Another chance goes begging for Rovers. Fast counter attack started by Jordan Rhodes and Tom Cairney ends with Ben Marshall pulling ball back for Jason Lowe who loses his footing and sees ball deflect to David Dunn, whose side-effort is blocked. 30 mins. 0-0.
BOOKED Yeovil captain Jamie McAllister collects first caution of the game for foul on Chris Taylor. 28 mins. 0-0.
Rovers lost some of their early momentum. 27 mins. 0-0.
David Dunn drags another - albeit harder - chance wide from the edge of the box after the ball drops to him. Rovers boss Gary Bowyer will be disappointed that his side are not at least one goal in front, given their dominance. 20 mins. 0-0.
Good chance goes begging for Rovers. Ben Marshall plays reverse ball down the line to Jason Lowe, who cuts inside and swings over a right-footed cross that finds David Dunn but his effort is scuffed and goes past the post. 18 mins. 0-0.
Yeovil coming into the game a little more, though Simon Eastwood has yet to be tested. 16 mins. 0-0.
Wonderful save from Marek Stech. Tom Cairney corner not cleared and David Dunn plays the ball back to Cairney, whose curling effort from the edge of the area turned aside by the returning Stech. 11 mins. 0-0.
Ball rebounds to David Dunn and he plays in Chris Taylor down the right and his driven cross his parried clear by Marek Stech before being cleared to safety.
Then, a minute later, Adam Henley cross finds Dunn unmarked on edge of the box and his diving header is easily saved by Stech.
Really bright start by Rovers. 9 mins. 0-0.
Rovers have started positively but it remains 0-0. 7 mins.
Jason Lowe give all the room in the world to advance forward and eventually shoot. But his 22-yard effort was weak, deflecting off Jordan Rhodes before being gathered by Marek Stech. 2 mins. 0-0.
We are under way.
Captain Scott Dann and his centre-back partner Grant Hanley make their 100th appearances for Rovers today.
Spoke to Rovers boss Gary Bowyer about the pair on Thursday and here's what he had to say...
Great quote from Bowyer about raging 'bull' Hanley toward the bottom of the article.
So the teams in full are...
Yeovil: Stech, Ayling, Webster, Duffy, McAllister, Edwards, Ralls, Lundstram, Davis, Grant, Miller. Subs: Stewart, Dawson, Upson, Hayter, Foley, Moore, Morgan.
Rovers: Eastwood, Henley, Dann, Hanley, Spurr, Taylor, Lowe, Cairney, Marshall, Dunn, Rhodes. Subs: Kean, Kane, Kilgallon, Williamson, Judge, Rochina, Gestede.
Yeovil, second from bottom in the Championship but unbeaten in four games, make two changes.
One is between the posts as Marek Stech – the hero of the Glovers’ League One play-off final victory over Brentford in May – takes the place of the injured Chris Dunn.
It is the fit-again Stech’s first appearance since August 10.
Liam Davis, meanwhile, replaces Ed Upson.
Rovers have made one change to their team.
David Dunn, having scored the crucial third goal in last Saturday’s 3-2 home win over Millwall, takes the place of Josh King.
King and DJ Campbell – who returned to training this week after his arrest and subsequent bail by police probing spot-fixing allegations in football matches – are not considered fit enough for places in Gary Bowyer’s squad.
Good afternoon. Just over 15 minutes before we get under way here.
