A LATE goal by Leah Embley denied league leaders Blackburn Community all three points as the East Lancashire derby ended all square.
Blackburn arrived with a perfect record of nine wins out of nine and started the game full of confidence.
Accrington’s defence stood firm until the visitors made the breakthrough with a lightening counter attack rounded off by Gaby Crowther.
Accrington started the second half strongly and this time it was Blackburn’s turn to defend with several vital blocks keeping the home side at bay.
With time slipping away it seemed Blackburn were going to stretch their 100 per cent record. But with time ticking away, Embley cut in off the left and fired home a superb equaliser.
