FORMER Burnley forward Zavon Hines scored one goal and set up another as Accrington Stanley’s search for a league win goes on.

Peter Murphy headed against the post for Stanley in the first half, and Shay McCartan then nodded wide from close range at the start of the second period.

But Dagenham and Redbridge went in front in the 56th minute when Rhys Murphy’s pass released Hines, who fired past Marcus Bettinelli.

Hines then returned the compliment for Murphy to make it 2-0 five minutes later.

Stanley boss James Beattie named himself on the bench but did not come on.

Reds substitute James Gray did pull a goal back in injury time, converting a rebound after Will Hatfield’s initial effort had been saved.
