BLACKBURN Rovers captain Scott Dann will today discover whether the injury he sustained in the win over Watford will rule him out of this weekend’s trip to Wigan.
The centre back came off in injury time in Tuesday’s Ewood Park clash with the Hornets with a groin injury.
Dann underwent a scan yesterday and is expected to receive the results this afternoon.
Rovers boss Bowyer hopes the 26-year-old will be fit for Sunday’s north-west derby at Wigan.
Bowyer said: “Scott has been magnificent for us, both as a centre-half and as a captain, so fingers crossed it is good news.”
But Bowyer did receive an injury boost as Ruben Rochina took the first steps on his road to recovery from a dislocated shoulder suffered on the opening day.
Bowyer said: “Ruben has been out running for the first time. He’s still got a long way to go, but it was great to see him out there.”
