THE Blackburn Rovers Action Group say the FA have asked them for further information ahead of a meeting set to take place in the near future.

The Action Group met the FA last summer to outline a number of issues they were concerned about at Blackburn Rovers under Venky’s rule.

A 400-page document was presented to the FA, detailing the findings of BRAG’s own inquiry into the running of the club.

And another meeting is expected to take place soon, with BRAG communications officer Phil Thompson having dialogue with the governing body this week.

The Football League also recently said that they are willing to meet.

BRAG chairman Glen Mullan said: “Phil contacted the FA on Sunday and they came back to us on Monday asking for more information.

“We have had ongoing dialogue with David Newton (the FA’s head of integrity).

“We are trying to fix a date for a meeting, and we are hoping to meet the Football League as well.”

And Mullan says BRAG could also now have the option of taking any concerns to UEFA, after becoming a member of the Football Supporters Europe organisation.

“We’re part of the FSE now,” he said. “There are only two UK groups who are – the Spirit of Shankly group and us.

“It means we can take our situation to UEFA if we need to, so that’s another option for us.”

The FA refused to comment on the situation.
