MICHAEL Appleton has expressed his disappointment after being sacked as Blackburn Rovers manager today.
The former Rovers boss, who was in charge for just 15 games, was dismissed this morning following Sunday's 1-1 draw with Burnley.
In a statement released to the Lancashire Telegraph, Appleton said: "I am disappointed to be leaving Blackburn Rovers.
"I would like to thank the players, and wish them all the best for the rest of the season. I would also like to say thanks to the fans who have made me feel so welcome over the past few months."
