St Helens Town 1 Colne 3

AFTER the postponement of their last three games Colne travelled to Edge Green Street on Saturday hoping to resume their good form which has seen them lose just once in their last 12 league games.

Colne opened the scoring in the 17th minute when Ryan Jones shot deflected in off a defender.

Chris Thompson pulled off a brilliant save to keep Colne in front but they doubled their lead just before the break when Michael Saunders tapped home.

Chris Williams pulled one back from the spot for the Saints 10 minutes from time but a minute later, Colne added a third goal when Jason Hart raced past his marker before drilling the ball into the far corner.
