BURNLEY started 2013 in the best possible style this afternoon as they eased to a 2-0 Championship win at Sheffield Wednesday.
The Clarets, who lost to Leicester City on Saturday, dominated the first half at Hillsborough but couldn't turn their possession into goals.
However, Keith Treacy - who finished last season on loan with Wednesday - opened the scoring on 63 minutes to give the Clarets the lead.
And then Ross Wallace converted a penalty 13 minutes later, while Treacy hit a post late on but the Burnley had done enough to seal three points in South Yorkshire.
