FULL TIME: Blackburn Rovers 1 Cardiff City 4

HENNING Berg’s Ewood Park misery continued tonight as Blackburn Rovers produced a woeful performance to lose 4-1 to league leaders Cardiff City.

Berg has yet to win at Ewood since taking over as Rovers boss and his side have now suffered three consecutive defeats on their home patch to seriously damage their ailing promotion hopes.

Craig Bellamy was among the scorers for Cardiff on his return to his old club, as Rovers slipped a place to 10th in the table ahead of tomorrow's Championship fixtures.

Tonight's match was watched by a crowd of just 12,460 – the lowest of the season.

Mark Hudson headed Cardiff in front before half time but Josh King scored his first goal for Rovers to level just after the interval.

Bellamy made it 2-1, though, before Joe Mason and Kim Bo-Kyung added further goals for the visitors late on.

Rovers have sunk to new depths after to-nights performance. Any thoughts of reaching the play offs is out of the question. The best we can hope for is that Rovers remain in the Championship. A big question mark now hangs over Berg. A new manager in the new year could well be on the cards.

That has to be the worst performance of the season! From the back Dann and Hanley both shocking if Berg things they are both better than Givet well.we might aswell give up. In the middle, Formica, Lowe, Etuhu and Olsson all defensive midfielders and the middle 2 everytime they get the ball they go back. Why bring Nunes on and play him on right wing, if you want a right winger put Vuckevic on. Up front zero service to Rhodes and Richards again made a difference. Drastic changes needed a.s.ap if you want to remain in a job because that performance was embarassing and I rightly left with 7 mins to go. Make changes berg we are bored before relegation looms because this is nowhere near good enough.

Awful. Watched first half on Sky from 150 miles away. Couldn't bear to watch the rest. Listened to the last ten minutes on the radio but sounded even worse.
Here in the East Midlands I've watched some variable performances at Forest, Derby and Peterborough (bad, better, quite good) but I won't risk going to Leicester in the New Year and won't waste my time and petrol driving over to Ewood either.

Henning, you are a good man but not a good manager. Please go now with dignity and don't leave it too late like Kean. We need someone who can get the best out of what is actually a useful squad, pick our best players and unload some of the rest.

Is there no end to this Venky's nightmare?

We are not good enough! The squad is so imbalanced
Yes, we can play in patches, with some skilful players
But the balance of the squad is way out
There are no leaders, men of grit, physically we are lacking in strength and athleticism
This was clearly evident against a side that possessed all of these attributes.
I can even understand Berg playing Etuhu because of the lack of a physical presence
Unfortunately the guy is bone idle
As a team we are disjointed, we don’t win any second balls because our positional play is poor
I am still not convinced Berg has found his strongest first 11
Where is Givet ? he is twice the player of the current centre halves and Vukavic must be dire not to get a chance in this side
I suspect more input from venkys on team selection, probably due to contractual sagas
In fac,t is Berg really anything more than another Venky stooge?
He has arrived without any personnel, no coaches and to be frank, no real credentials
This says to me: “You can have the job Mr Berg, just do as you are told, put up with what you have got and we will pay you very well”
Remind you of any other manager we have had recently?
The problem all along has been venkys, nothing will change until they have gone
We are well and truly ruined in regards to EPL status

Keans got a lot to answer for leaving us in this mess, shocking defending, shocking in midfield, no width and no service to rhodes.
All is still not lost, play Kazinm Richards in centre midfield play vueckevic on the right. King in the hole with rohdes up top.
Take your pick which CB to be replaced by Givet as they were both shocking Hanley missed first header that got Dann in trouble and Dann speaks for itself. We need more action in the final third. This king lad looks okay and richards looks strong enough to play the jemaine jones role to me.
All is not lost, yet. But the Jan window beckons for defensive reinforcements and a proper holding midfielder. Etuhu was very poor, formica was week and Lowe was a passenger. Cardiff were just that much quicker sharper and effective than we were but 4 did flatter them.

Beaten at HOME by Wolves, Middlesbrough, Millwall, Bolton and now Cardiff – and, tonight, not just beaten but blown away. And hardly a redeeming factor. It seems at the moment that teams just need to turn up for the points.

Cardiff and Middlesbrough disappearing over the horizon while we go into reverse. These aren’t just relegation performances, they’re wretched bottom-of-the-table performances.

Henning Berg says: “We have a good squad and we have good players.” So what’s wrong Henning?

Cardiff were just that much quicker sharper and effective than we were but 4 did flatter them.
absolutely spot-on assessment M7....we ere beaten by a good side who had pace and enthusiasm and who worked hard for each other. We were actually coming back into it early in the second half even at 2-1 down and two good breaks and two good goals put paid to any hopes. Didnt deserve much from the game but we didn't deserve to lose 4-1.

It was definitely not a team performance by Rovers - we looked what we are - just a team of individuals randomly put together by the Odious one without any thought about building a decent side.

Berg has a big job to do here, and he has to be given time to build his own team. Poor crowd poor display poor result....

Err thats easy.

3 quarters of Turf Moor did!

It was a more than deserved equaliser in a game that we had 57% of the posession, more shots and twice as many on target.

Face it mate 11 against 11 we are superior!

Its only a narrow margin (for now) but the power is slowly shifting back to the mighty Clarets.

The problem all along has been venkys, nothing will change until they have gone
We are well and truly ruined in regards to EPL status
Bang on the money about Berg being another Venky stooge. He is a handsomely paid yes man who has to put up with the sh*t all around him that Venkys want in place and he won't be able to do anything about it - no backroom staff of his own or anything. Why else would they go for a relatively inexperienced manager when there were more experienced ones out there. Also they have spent millions on players so why take the risk on not gaining promotion by appointing an inexperienced manager - because an inexperienced manager is more likely to put up with their bull sh*t thinking that it might be possible to turn things around and Venkys think that by having a yes man this compensates for not having an experienced manager as they will be able to dictate things but this is wrong because they are f*cking clueless.

Defensive drab again. Etuhu had a few moments but average at best. we looked better after CKR came on but too many wasted chances, Formica should have come off sooner. Too greedy for his own good at least CK made a few plays for a change. King had another good game but Rhodes was again left frustrated.

Wasn't expecting a win against Cardiff who are just on fire, but shocking first half meant we were always going to be playing catchup. Berg unfortunately needs to have found his team by now, King, Rhodes and CK up front just seems to work, but Formica to me just is just frustrating and embarrassing with his diving and selfish attitude.

All in all a very telling story tonight, and I think Berg may not be too surprised if he ends up flying to Pune in the near future.

I agree with the frst part but disagre with the second part. How can you blame Venkys for players coming out only in second half to play. They are not at races in first half. Also surprised Kazim didnot start the game following his performance in the last few games as a sub. Also baffled Vukevic did not come on when Formica came off. Berg needs to ponder with his decisions. We have some good players but we seem to be tactically naive and no game plan.

Mate, last year is LAST year.

LAST year you were calling this division the "Chumpionship"

This year 11 against 11 we are superior.

You'll get your chance to get the upper hand at Bol-Ewood in the spring.

Till, then dont take it out on the horses over there (thurrrr)

Keep smiling.

NO NAY NEVER
Yes and this years this year and your already wetting yourself because you got a draw !!!!!!! Well done keep dreaming and if you play really well you might just scrape another xx
"You'll never beat the rovers"
"You'll never beat the rovers"
Suppose it's nice to dream !!!
And the horses are fine they only go into hiding when the dingle mutants are coming!!!
Goodnight to you and your brothers and sisters

I agree with the frst part but disagre with the second part. How can you blame Venkys for players coming out only in second half to play. They are not at races in first half. Also surprised Kazim didnot start the game following his performance in the last few games as a sub. Also baffled Vukevic did not come on when Formica came off. Berg needs to ponder with his decisions. We have some good players but we seem to be tactically naive and no game plan.
spot on about Kazim-Richards. Thought it strange also when he came on during HT to warmup that no one was with him. Also why was Pedersen fooling around?? Etuhu should not be in the team. His backward passing is beyond a joke and if he is even on the coach to Blackpool there has got to be questions of Berg's understanding of what is going on.

Is Berg Picking the team ? There are certain similarities with the previous manager regards team selection, and certain players being left out. Givet and Vukevic spring to mind.
Much as I admired Berg as a player, it seems he may not be cut out for management. His previous record in Norway and his inability to inspire the team now suggests this. If so, why was he brought here when 90% of supporters were calling for experience ? Did they not want an experienced manager ? If not why ?
Is he another yes man being well paid to do as he is told ?
I hope not and hope Henning has more self respect and principles than Kean did.
Who would have thought we would have gone from a top ten Premiership team to a struggling Championship team in two years. Venkys couldn't have made a bigger mess if they had done this intentionally.
What's happened to Singh ? He has gone very quiet.

Ha ha ha ha ha !!!!
Enough said these dingles are a breed on their own
Just when you start to feel down a dingle comes along to brighten up the day and remind you things could be worse !!
Just watch the repeat on Sky sports, that should remind you that things can't get any worse.

Get your "chicken in a rovers flag" thrown onto the pitch next home game, no need to wait until the end of the season......that is of course if there's anybody in the ground to see it based on the thoroughly embarrassing attendance tonight. Tut tut.
Embarrassing attendance indeed but we still attract more fans than you. Good attempt at banter but you aren't quite there yet.

Be nice to get back to football rather than the inane banter with our friends from the shallow end of the gene pool. Been carefully considering what our best formation/side is and wondered if anyone had an opinion on my conclusion.
3-4-3

Kean
Henley Hanley Givet
Raheem Hanley Murphy(Dunny) Vukcevic Martin
Kaz Jordan Rochina

Would give width, attacking options everywhere and solidity at the back, and more importantly confuse the crap out of opposing sides

The man shows no passion and I don't think he,s got a bollocking in him ! BRFC is looking like a holiday camp to pick up top dollar and go through the motions ! A shambles from. Top to bottom ! I think this is a great idea, sack berg and get another in, then keep sacking each manager until we get one who wins a game, brilliant.
Berg hasn't even got his own players in yet and you want him out.

Absolutely the only silver lining tonight was King who was brought in by Berg. All Kean's signings have been off the mark other than Rhodes. It's Kean/Andersons legacy...very harsh to blame Berg in my opinion.

Scott Dann is another Christian Dailly ie overvalued, overrated and an absolute liability at the back. Why he's in the team ahead of Givet, I'll never know. Givet is a warrior whereas Dann is just a clown. Dann isn't the only problem though - we can't retain possession in midfield and we don't know what to do in the final third. It's harsh to blame Berg but I don't think we'd be struggling like this if we'd employed Holloway.

Sh1te support

Nothing achieved since winning the Anglo-Scottish Cup in 1978/79 apart from a cameo appearance in the Premier League in 08/09!

If you were indeed our superiors, surely you would have shown that by smashing goals galore in last week on your own turf! But no, you couldn't even beat the worst BRFC side in the last 20yrs! HAHAHA!

That's it then for any chance of promotion this season. Mid table finish if we are lucky. What a mess we are in, you cannot replace quality players with 3rd raters and expect any to do any better. A clean sweep required this transfer window, at least 5 out and minimum 2 midfield and 2 defenders in. Venky's advisers and Kean have a lot to answer for.

This is a black period for the club!

It does seem really odd after all the money that was splashed out on bringing in new players (especially Jordan Rhodes), that Venky's / Shebby would bring in Berg as the Rovers boss. It beggars belief that Berg was picked over the other illustrious names that were purportedly linked with the club, so it's no surprise that supporters still have reasons to believe that Venky's are in this business only for the marketing benefits it brings to their company, plus of course, financial reasons, hoping to make a quick buck off a beloved club.

At the time of writing this comments, the Rovers are 11 points off automatic promotion slots, 4 points off playoff positions, and only 1 point ahead of the Clarets - all this while having played an extra game.

I remember vaguely, a statement either by Kean / Shebby / Venky's somewhere at the start of the season, that failure to get back to the Premiership would be unthinkable. After all the new players that have been brought in, I certainly agree that anything less than promotion this season would I fear, do further harm to the great club that is Rovers.

Shebby seems to have faded out of the limelight for quite some time now. Perhaps it's time he looks back on his decision to hire Berg, and come out with Plan B's - and while he's at it, Plan C's and D's as well?

Nobody in India gives a flying f@ck about Rovers or Venkys owning them; those that have bothered to comment are unhappy they did not invest in their domestic sport (see Indian Times, I think it was).

As for in this country, well I don't see many of Venkys' poor man's KFCs springing up and they have hardly built themselves much of a positive reputation (apart from down the M65).

They have lost £19m in their first year, income has fallen by about £25m this year (not including reduced crowds) and £50m+ next. The club is worth substatially less than when they bought it they are still £24m in debt.

Financial reasons? I think not.

As for Singh; don't get me started.

As above, my belief when Venkys arrived was; purely marketing reasons on their behalf i.e. BRFC was just a 'vehicle' for that endeavour/its of secondary importance.
The trick was to do it as cheaply as possible, but as everyone knows: footy aint cheap. That is unless you cash in on your assetts along the way. Hence their posting of the 4mil 'profit'. But this fom the timeinthe Prem .
The cost of that 'achievement' is a drop into the Champs, so next years figures will truly lay bear the whole sorry situation. Black days ahead indeed!
I for one am not at all surprised.
We have the ticket collector driving the bus!

I agree that as of this moment, it does not look like managing / owning Rovers is profitable. However, imagine a season or two later, if Rovers are still in the Championship - I'm sure players (e.g Rhodes) will be sold for a healthy profit, leaving a tattered team. Thus, it really is very important that Shebby / Berg get their act together, and ensure Rovers get back to the Premiership, as they promised before the beginning of the season.

The whole "we were ill advised by certain individuals, but we now know better" excuse is getting really lame. It's plain obvious to the average layman that Berg is not getting the best out of the team, and if truth be told, the team that Rovers have at the moment is more than capable of securing promotion at the first attempt.

Again Dangerous Dave writes words that are spot on that most of us agree with , particularly after another dismal showing , we still have the same black cloud hanging over the club , the same depression because the now silent Singh again went for the cheap option , his 6 week world wide search for a manager and we ended up with Berg , wow,why 6 weeks !!!!
Our now silent global advisor wentb for the cheap/cheap/cheap option keeping Steve Keans coaching team /drinking pals ,our 8k a week defensive coach Hendry / if he has not now shown by now how incompetent Hendry is as a defensive coach ,then we really are the blind leading the blind.

Anyway we await all the replies from the names that are paid to put in posts into the LET and other Rovers forums , these people get paid to to slaughter anyone`s comments who actually writes the truth about our situation, good people like Dangerous Dave.

2 Its all the fault of the illuminate / Jews
3 AGNEW BLACK SHAW HENDRY VENKYS BERG OUT
4 Hendry is a nasty person
5 Berg one win in 55 games

And to be honest Rovers, as berg says, are not very far away. The game could have gone either way but for some slack defending and as far as blaming hendry for that. You don't give Lewis Hamilton a fiat 500 and then moan that he never wins a race do you. Its pretty obvious to most football followers that Hanley and Dann are not a good combination, thats why we got relegated and they are supposed to somehow become better because of what exactly??? Our best centre half on the books is Givet, and if you consider that when Big Sam was here we played him at right back because our centre backs of Samba and Nelsen were too good, you can see quite easily why we are where we are.
The defensive issues have not been sorted and our central midfield has not been sorted either. So hopefully in the next window, Berg will get his chance to sort it out.
I do agree about Venkys though, I mean why bother letting Kean spend all your money when he was obviously clueless shows they lack foresight.

I think Jordan Rhodes will be sorely regretting going to Rovers now. His reasoning given (other than a bucket load of cash) was to develop himself as a player and improve his all round game. Is he achieving this ? No, he's constantly being played in a role which doesn't bring him into the game and left isolated. He needs service and he just doesn't get it. It's not rocket science, look at his Huddersfield career, 2 speedy wingers = prolific goal scoring.
He'd do well to slap in a transfer request for January that way he can crack on with his desired career path and you lots would probably rake in 12-15 million, as he has already
proved in the short tine he's been
there that he's too good for the
championship.

The man shows no passion and I don't think he,s got a bollocking in him ! BRFC is looking like a holiday camp to pick up top dollar and go through the motions ! A shambles from. Top to bottom ! What have we done to deserve this ?
and your solution is....?

As for lack of passion he isn't called the Iceberg for nothing. Henning didn't show much passion even when we won the Prem so don't expect that from him. Expect him to know exactly what/who he wants and doesn't want when the Jan window comes in a couple of weeks. Apart from King (who looks very good and took his goal excellently) then Berg is working with Kean's team and we all knew and said that that wasn't good enough.
Berg must be given a chance - the alternative means that we just go through the same painful and lengthy recruitment cycle again...and take yet another backward step.

There was a massive 'hole' in the Rovers team that was blatantly obvious last night and which was commented on almost all the match by the SKY idiots. This 'hole' was in center midfield. The number of times we had the ball in defence and couldn't do anything other than hoof it up the field was disgraceful. Nobody took control for us in midfield at all - Etuhu, Lowe, Formica - all reasonably decent players looked very poor. Danny Murphy or even Dunny would have made a big difference to the team last night by helping both defence and attack as they would have been able to use the ball and provide the link that was needed.

That is the type of player we need to bring-in if these two are in and out with injuries, and if we know it then Berg knows it and a central midfielder who can tackle and pass and influence the team will surely be at the top of his shopping list.

A last minute equaliser against our main rivals is always gonna be celebrated.

At least we know B******** are our rivals.

You lot still think that Man Utd are yours!

@Return of the Magnificent se7en - Are you of the opinion that if Berg is allowed to spend in the upcoming transfer window, to create / mould his own team if you will, he will be better able to get the best out of players?

While that may be true in theory, fault still must lie at the feet of Berg at the moment. Picking his first eleven, tinkling with formations when it's obvious the strategy is incorrect, having a game plan etc... Berg does not seem to be getting these basics. Three home losses in a row does and will deflate any team morale - but Berg does not seem really capable of lifting the spirits of his players.

I don't know, I thought we played as well as I'd seen in the second half with the exception of some utterly appalling defending, but the whole team lacks in every department, central midfield being the main prority for me. Etuhu is useless and makes Aaron Mokena look like zidane. Murphy is lacking effort and pace. Lowe is average. We have one of the best centre forwards in the league and no wingers who can pick him out or midfielders who can put it through and the back four has next to no protection. But that is all keans legacy as Berg has signed only Josh King on loan.
As stated above Venkys bought a formula one car and put Kean in charge of it. He sold the wheels the engine the spoilers traction control etc etc etc.
He then replaced the engine with a 500cc two stroke, put some bike wheels on it and a bell, filled the petrol engine with diesel and then resigned just after buying a carbon fibre steering wheel ( Rhodes ). Venkys bring berg in, who borrows some slicks but still has the two stroke diesel filled engine. The crowd start saying its bergs fault and the pit crew should be sacked and given no funds to put it straght. The Burnley fans that come on here have got it paertially right, we are no longer a squad filled with elite racehorses. We have one racehorse and ten domkeys. Well maybe not that extreme but do you get the picture?
Does all that sound ridiculous that we should be demanding Berg be sacked?

Return of the Magnificent se7en

Keans signings and Bergs team selections = DISASTER.

Spot on !!!!

We all know that this squad is a shocker but when you pick MO(airfix), DE, JL, MF across midfield then you are always going to struggle to win ANY game at ANY LEVEL.

Add to that he dropped CKR and picked King up front was a bizzare selection - both King and CKR had done well at Burnley and deserved to start - but in the positions they played at Burnley - left wing and up front !!! - to drop CKR and move King to stricker and bring in "airfix" Ollson was just illogical.

As for Etuhu - he can't help being a useless tellentless footballer but he can help being a lazy b@stard - he was clearly at fault for 2 of those goals by not doing the simplest of jobs - marking up and tracking back - Unforgivable, and he should NEVER (under any circumstances) play for Rovers again.

I like HB as a man but anyone who can't pick his best available team (time after time) CANNOT and WILLNOT ever make it as a manager - those who say "judge him after he has brought in his own players" - are talking rubbish - he can't pick the best team out of the squad he has now so what makes you think he's gonna have an eye for a player - GG has not played a single minuate under HB yet we have not kept a single clean sheet - SV continues to warm the bench whilst MF plays all the time and DOES NOTHING - Marcus Ollson plays (and is completely USELESS) yet King, Nunes or even MGP can play in that position and all 3 of them are a differnet level to that useless "nothing" waste of space.

HB, do the right thing and RESIGN - be honest enough and man enough to walk away - don't wait to be sacked - oh, and whilst you're at it, drag that useless tw@t Shebby Singh with you - HE must take FULL RESBONSABILITY for your appointment - he has NO IDEA what it takes to run a professional football club in England - most of us knew it before a ball was kicked but he has, beyond a shaddow of a doubt, proved it to everyone.

@Return of the Magnificent se7en - I'm certainly not saying that Berg needs to go immediately. While I feel his tactics, or rather lack thereof, are appalling, I do somewhat agree with you that this was a team he inherited, and should be given a tad more time to fix it.

We've seen the same situation at another Rovers, being QPR, where a whole bunch of players come in at a huge cost, but still struggle to play coherently as a team. Hughes did not work out for them, and dear old Redknapp has not gotten a win out of them thus far. So, sometimes it's not really a manager's fault, as the players are the ones on the field kicking the ball.

My point is simply, both Blackburn Rovers and QPR certainly have the talent to gain promotion this season (not get relegated in the case of the latter), but Berg (back to the topic of Blackburn Rovers) certainly needs to correct problems immediately. If he feels he is up to it, then by all means, carry on. But on the contrary, if he feels he cannot, then he should be man enough to own up, respectfully leave, and not keep giving interviews with prepared keywords such as 'unlucky' and 'almost'.

Deeply disappointed with the result and it was clearly evident why we aren't a top 6 team yet. However, the potential is quite clearly there. If january goes to plan, we should most definitely be in the top 6.

The positives: We potentially have a very good strike force. Colin Kazim Richards made a huge difference and Josh King thrived off of him. He had the physicality that we lacked and was the link we were missing for the first half between defence and attack. We really gave Cardiff problems on every attack we made in the second half - mainly because of the pace that we attacked with and the speed of King/Olsson and Nunes. Also I can say that our full backs aren't a problem, apart from Olsson didn't seem to know Noone was left-footed.

The negatives: We don't have a proper centre midfield partnership and none of the players we have in those positions have the flair/playmaker-like attributes to ensure we can have quick counter attacks OR to make sure we dominate the midfield in home games. Our centre-back partnership is quite honestly poor at the moment. Every free-kick was a worry, they had Turner attacking free kicks while being marked by Adam Henley, which was David v Goliath.

I'm not going to turn to Henning Berg and have a paddy at the results and whine because this isn't 5 years ago. He inherited a team which were beginning to hit a long slump after more than riding their luck. He needs to find his proper first team though, and really utilise January. Fingers crossed Venky's aren't going to be poultry with their budget.

Where January is concerned, there should be no excuses seeming as many players in Europes values are down. For example - Michu. Genuinely though, after watching that match, the strike force we had in the second half was exciting, but the defensive lapses, Formica's lovely finishing and some poor decisions by the ref cost us.

Give Berg a chance, we'll never ever move forward with the current attitude even though I despise the Venkys.

You can't blame Berg for the poor players he inherited, they are just not good enough, simple as. Hope he's got some ideas for the transfer window and some money to match, otherwise we will be in this division for another year. No point people saying we have a good squad on paper because the results say otherwise. Just waken up and smell the coffee.

No, theres only you, dangerous dave and smell the coffee who agree with one another.
Dangerous daves just gets out the record, a bit like you, and spins the same tune, if you were both dj's you would have been sacked by now.
I don't mind posting about football and I don't mind others posting about football, but you three don't post about football at all. You comments always go along these lines.
! Big Jack will be spinning in his grave

Jeez some people are as thick as shoes
Ru insane /Return of the whatever and all the other names you call your self , go back to where you work at the Rovers publicity office and pick up your wages for the week , you will get a further bonus if you can post some good comments about Rovers in the next few days ,if that is possible ,because you will be a very busy boy.

PLEASE,DO NOT LET BERG SPEND ANY MORE MONEY BRINGING PLAYERS IN THIS JANUARY .

KEEP THE MONEY UNTIL WE GET A COMPETENT COACHING STAFF ,EXPERIENCED COACHING STAFF THAT THE PLAYERS RESPECT , NOT FAILURES,KEAN CRAWLERS, DRUNKS,ALCOHOLICS,BA

NKRUPTS ,GAMBLERS , GRANNY SWINDLERS, WOMEN BEATERS .
BRING IN A MANAGER & COACHING STAFF THAT THE PLAYERS CAN AND WILL LOOK UP TO.
Berg han't spent any money, YOU UTTER TWONK
See what I mean, you give lewis hamilton a fiat 500 petrol car with diesel in the tank complain he can't win a race, and then won't let him take the diesel out and put petrol in it. But he can choose what colour furry dice he has swinging from the rear view. And you think changing the pit crew will change it all.
I AM TRULY EMBARRASSED FOR HOW F***KIN NUMB YOU ARE
RU Insane or whatever you call yourself these days , the point is , it would make more sense not to provide any funds to Berg till he at least had some positive results, I don`t count ONE WIN AGAINST BOTTOM OF THE LEAGUE ,in a total of 8 games one win ,three draws and four losses ,a total of 6 points from a possible 24 points , I would be concerned ,his record so far is not exactly inspiring to provide funds . A manager with that record ,maybe we should save THE MONEY TILL WE GET A PROPER MANAGER IN.

Anyway we await all the replies from the names that are paid to put in posts into the LET and other Rovers forums , these people get paid to to slaughter anyone`s comments who actually writes the truth about our situation, good people like Dangerous Dave.[/p]
! Big Jack will be spinning in his grave 2 Its all the fault of the illuminate / Jews 3 AGNEW BLACK SHAW HENDRY VENKYS BERG OUT 4 Hendry is a nasty person 5 Berg one win in 55 games And to be honest Rovers, as berg says, are not very far away. Jeez some people are as thick as shoes[/p]
KEEP THE MONEY UNTIL WE GET A COMPETENT COACHING STAFF ,EXPERIENCED COACHING STAFF THAT THE PLAYERS RESPECT , NOT FAILURES,KEAN CRAWLERS, DRUNKS,ALCOHOLICS,BA NKRUPTS ,GAMBLERS , GRANNY SWINDLERS, WOMEN BEATERS . BRING IN A MANAGER & COACHING STAFF THAT THE PLAYERS CAN AND WILL LOOK UP TO.[/p]
Berg han't spent any money, YOU UTTER TWONK See what I mean, you give lewis hamilton a fiat 500 petrol car with diesel in the tank complain he can't win a race, and then won't let him take the diesel out and put petrol in it. But he can choose what colour furry dice he has swinging from the rear view. And you think changing the pit crew will change it all. I AM TRULY EMBARRASSED FOR HOW F***KIN NUMB YOU ARE[/p]
A manager with that record ,maybe we should save THE MONEY TILL WE GET A PROPER MANAGER IN. penrithrover

Get clear with old legs, no point to wait week in week out with this defence and midfeild players. Respect the players, but this way we cannot continue....better watch last three home games.again and again....and put your transfer request.

Orr is clever, Now Ispitch is moveing upward. hope he is lucky there.

Clear 10 players and get 5 quality players who is FIT for games.

Bellamy is a single player motivate and move the game plan with cardiff. See how he provocate "Lowe" and lost the balance in the game.

I was aganist Murphy, but one experiance player needed in the center to control the game. So I will play Murphy and Dunn in center Mid feild with Kazim , Rochina in the wing.
Givit should back in the center. Drop Hanley.

SHEBBY SINGH , the global advisor came here to oversee the running of the club.

He never had the balls to sack Kean !

He brought in a couple of old men to play for us that are finished as footballers and he is paying them huge money , a good pension top up for these old players.

He brought in a bunch of Portuguese lads who are simply not good enough , maybe he wants them to go and play for his team in Goa !

He has not got the balls to get rid of Hendry , Steve Keans chaffeur /drinking mate ,the most negative influence at the club , what young player can possibly look up to and respect Hendry ,there is no respect there , do you think these young players have not read all about Hendry`s swindling old people and women bashing stories that are constantly in the newspapers, you cannot respect a man who cheats old people out of their life savings and also bashes up women.

Singh went for the cheap option in hiring BERG , keeping all the drinking boys in jobs, one loan player in . make no mistake Berg knew the players he had to work with , and Berg promised an instant return to the Premier league , so all that crap about Berg`s own players , looking at BERGS RECORD I WOULD NOT GIBE BERG A FIVER TO BUY ANY PLAYERS IN JANUARY , he looks like he is not going to be around long, but yet again who is gonna sack him ? NOT SINGH HE HAS NOT THE BALLS TO DO THINGS LIKE THAT.

I wouldn't say it's all about whether Shebby is ballsy enough to sack people. In all fairness to him, the Venkys are tight with their money and whatever he's said, he has to consult Desai to make a decision, and it was her that was the one who kept Kean. To be honest, they really don't care about the fans' conspiracy theories whatsoever, because they are the ones that really know what's going on.

Yes, I agree that Berg was a cheaper option as he was already out of work, but that wasn't exactly Singh choosing the cheapest option, he was set guidelines by the Venky's (the ones who actually pay to hire the manager).

Berg has had a poor start on paper, that's true, but the team actually know how to pass a ball along the floor now. If he can find the right first team to play then i'm sure he can do well. His only signing was Josh King, who whatever you may say, has brought an extra dimension to our club. He can actually run, has pace, and if we can make the right signings in January, he will be very useful to us.

The attitude of some of the fans at the moment I know is out of care and love for the club, but we are never going to move up at this rate. Many fans (thousands) don't want to go to games because it's funding the Venky's, however this means that if we don't get promoted, we don't get our parachute payment for relegation anymore, so we go into a financial crisis. I'm pretty sure i'd rather see us playing in the Championship, rather than not playing at all.

Also, the Venky's don't have the money to get most of the managers many of you wanted. Rhodes was bought with a loan... I don't think with the Venky's track record that we'll be seeing a high profile manager coming in or any season changing players. We should be the ones trying to help maximise the potential of what we have at the club.

I don't like Hendry either though.

I think it's only hard for many fans because we have fallen from grace so quickly. I think it's better to take and therefore easier to move on when our situation is accepted by the fans. I hope you're wrong though! I hope we're over our dark times, but unless I can be proved wrong, this is not going to be an enjoyable month of football. January is crucial, we have some of the players for promotion, but we have holes in the most important places. Let's just hope the powers in charge pull their fingers out. If not, it'll just be more disappointment. The players we need to sign are out there, so there are really no excuses.

I for one will give Berg a chance, he's a natural winner and if he gets his own way in January, I do believe he'll get the defenders/central midfielders we so crave at the moment. He has his floors, but so do the likes of Redknapp and co. Sometimes the task at hand is hard for any manager that can take the reigns, I think with his age though, he'll mould and adapt better than let's say, a more experienced manager, the championship has changed. Fingers crossed.

Berg is reported as saying that the current squad is not good enough (glad he agrees) and that we are too reliant on youth in the team (9 players were 24 or under who started on Friday for instance). He reportedly said that he wants to bring in better and more experienced players during the January window. Better and more experienced are the right words Henning. This squad is far too light and inexperienced to achieve what we all want - promotion.

Kean/Venkys systematically got rid of all the good/experienced players who were the backbone of the team like Samba and Nelson, and even NZonzi who is starring for Stoke every week now - and instead they draughted in the Portugese colony (one or two decent players out of six or seven that came in) and brought in some new 'experienced players' like Scott Dann (who always looks haunted by relegation memories at two clubs now), and Etuhu and Murphy who show only patchy skill and little or no enthusiasm for the fight that is needed in the Championship.

The only real 'success' is Rhodes and maybe CKR - plus Vukevic if he is ever given a proper chance to show what he can do.

Berg is right - we need good quality and experienced players in key positions quickly. We need a central midfielder and at least one Center Half for starters. Plus one or two other experienced players in other positions like RB for instance which has been a problem area now for three seasons.

Berg has to be given time to build his own team - anything else would be ridiculous. He must know though that he has perhaps not lived up to the fans early expectations that he would initially make us harder to beat and more competitive - whilst he built his own side. We need to see what the Jan window Santa brings us now.
