Plenty of derby experience in Blackburn Rovers squad

FIVE of Blackburn Rovers’ current squad were involved when they last took on Burnley during the 2009/10 season.

Martin Olsson, Gael Givet, Morten Gamst Pedersen and David Dunn all started in the 1-0 win at Turf Moor.

Paul Robinson missed that game through injury, with Jason Brown in goal for the game, but the current Rovers keeper did feature in the 3-2 triumph at Ewood Park earlier in the season.

Rovers’ squad possesses a number other players with experience of key derby matches, however.

Colin Kazim-Richards figured in the feisty game between Istanbul rivals Fenerbahce and Galatasaray, with one derby he appeared in marred by a mass brawl late in the game.

The 26-year-old also played for Olympiakos in the Athens derby against Panathinaikos.

Danny Murphy featured in a number of Merseyside derby games for Liverpool against Everton, as well as representing Tottenham against Arsenal – a fixture that Robinson too has also appeared in.

Simon Vukcevic and Nuno Gomes have appeared on opposite sides of the Lisbon derby, for Sporting and Benfica respectively.

Gomes also scored the winner for Portugal against Spain in a Euro 2004 group game which knocked the Spanish out as Portugal reached the final.

Scott Dann has played for Birmingham against Aston Villa, Mauro Formica featured for Newell’s Old Boys against Rosario Central and Dickson Etuhu represented Norwich against Ipswich.

All the players have there call. now is 2012, this derby is different and we need to win to stay as a FAN in blackburn.

We loose to all the team, but this will be a lost of the era, so keeping one positive histroy mean "never loose to Burnley".

All the best for this team, hope HB select the Strong legs and defend the history as it is.

IF you beat us, you can celebrate the fact that we are just as sh*te as you and we have dropped down to the pits, just like Bonleh, nothing more.

If you think that Danny murphy pointing his finger at the ball and standing there with his sagging arse is giving us an advantage mr Berg then more fool you. This useless kean import is costing you points, and will eventually cost you your job. You need to drop his slug trailed backside.
