FULL-TIME: Hull City 0, Burnley 1
5:46pm Saturday 24th November 2012 in Sport
DEAN Marney's first half goal against his old club was enough to secure a first away win for Sean Dyche as Burnley boss.
The Clarets came out on top for the fourth time in a row at the KC Stadium, as they recorded their third away win of the season and seventh straight win over the Tigers in total.
Burnley faced spells of pressure in the second half as in-form Hull pushed for an equaliser.
But they withheld it to secure a third clean sheet in five games under Dyche.
Marney got the breakthrough in the 40th minute after letting Ross Wallace's pass roll across him, then turning and burying his shot in the bottom left corner.
Burnley might have had more to show for their first-half efforts with David Stockdale having a nervy debut after signing on a short-term loan from Fulham, although he managed to push a long-range Ross Wallace effort onto the woodwork.
Hull switched from 3-5-2 to a more orthodox 4-4-2 at the break and enjoyed longer spells of pressure, but there were still openings for the Clarets.
They had to survive a late scare however to secure the win, with Nick Proschwitz prodding wide in stoppage time.

The No-dads got a result at the mighty Posh, last week, who'd sacked their best 4 players days before, and the whole town got a communal semi-on.
7 days later and the Championship comes back and bites them and their blue and white *****
For all their swaggering and huffing and puffing the super massive ( if you listen to them!) B******ds are 2, yes that's 2 super massive points ahead of the Clarets!
