I expect him to be on the move in Jan. If a bigger club come in for him like Bournemouth, he'll be off like a shot.

Doesn't really matter whether Burnley get £1 million for him or £10 million for him. When you look at the Jay Rodriguez deal you have to again wonder where the bulk of that fee has gone to. When Austin goes Burnley will try to replace him with some cheap no-mark from Wiltshire or wherever else. Got lucky with Austin but might not do next time they go signing non-league players.

I know you had the crushing experience of Junior Holliet stringing your club along for 18 months, pretending he was interested in signing a new contract but your post is, like most things in Blackburn, premature.

d) The togetherness that BFC have not only among themselves but the rapport with and from the fans is something not seen at BRFC

So to conclude: I see envy from all those who post in between 'crowing' about their team.

Actually the posts I have read are saying that for the first time in two years we played some good football against Huddersfield. It is far to early to be judging Berg yet, and many of us are quite excited at the prospect of watching us play football for a change. On paper we are much better than you and come derby day I fully expect this to show, for goodness sake you're virtually a one man team.

You're forgetting Midas in this day and age the players hold all the cards, just wait and see, and you will find out that you can't sell a player if he turns the move down. The only time to my mind when a player who is running down his contract leaves for his full worth is when you can get several rich clubs to enter an auction for his services. I think his level atm is probably mid-premier league level, and if this is the case how many teams have a spare £8m+ to spend on a player, if we were to be honest he is unproven at the highest level. Okay we spent around £8m on Rhodes, but that is precisely my point that no other premier league team tried to outbid us as they saw him as unproven at the top level. Anyway we will find out in the next 18 months who is right, shame we can't put money on it - easy money for me.

Well Kermit the time for laughing at Rovers appears to be coming near to an end. Kean is gone; Venky's haven't sold all our best players after our relegation, and have in fact splashed out money on players and have promised even more money to get us up; and Berg is a manager who tries to play football, so when he gets this team fully fit and well-drilled the only way is up. Can't wait for the derby, maybe when we stuff you Austin will put in a transfer request just in time for the January window.
