FULL TIME: Burnley 1 Leeds United 0
9:43pm Tuesday 6th November 2012 in Sport
CHARLIE Austin found the net once more to give Burnley victory against Leeds tonight and maintain Sean Dyche’s 100 per cent record as Clarets boss.
Dyche had guided Burnley to a 2-0 home win against Wolves in his first game in charge on Saturday and Austin’s 83rd-minute header from a Kieran Trippier cross gave them all three points against Leeds.
Paddy Kenny spilled an early Ross Wallace shot before denying Dean Marney’s rebound, before Jason Shackell volleyed just over.
El-Hadji Diouf missed a chance to put the visitors ahead as he directed his effort over the crossbar, but Kieran Tripper then saw a superb long-range effort turned over by Kenny before Charlie Austin’s deflected shot went just wide.
Ben Mee limped off in the second half after a crunching tackle, to be replaced by Danny Lafferty, before Austin fired straight at Kenny from Wallace’s pass.
Austin again saw an effort saved as he attempted to head home Marney’s cross.
But he found the net from Trippier’s centre with seven minutes remaining to incredibly reach 20 goals for the season in only his 17th appearance.
Burnley: Lee Grant, Kieran Trippier, Michael Duff, Jason Shackell, Ben Mee (Danny Lafferty 59), Ross Wallace, Dean Marney, Brian Stock (Sam Vokes 64), Chris McCann, Martin Paterson, Charlie Austin. Subs not used: Brian Jensen, David Edgar, Marvin Bartley, Junior Stanislas, Danny Ings.
Attendance: 14,479.

You said it last week when we were 6 points apart
You were at it again at the weekend when there was only 3 points in it.
You just keep posting coz each time you do, it just keeps on getting better.
berg.r's are made from sht.
Berg.....1 point from 6 Goals against 4 Goals scored 2
Dyche.6 points from 6 Goals against 0 Goals scored 3 (Austin 2, Patterson 1)
Not even persil could keep clean sheets like Dyche.
Well done the lads. another stead fast performance. Must feel much better playing for Burnley now you are seeing some reward for your endeavour. Are we in danger of runnng out of superlatives for Charlie? The bloke just can't help himself. You keep it up lad, could become a legend.
Dyche 'n' co...still hoovering up the points.

You have started on a high, probably because your players were glad to see your old manager go. As we ascend further up the league as Henning gets to grips with the challenge of making Kean's misfits work then you will see the difference as your lot plummet to the depths of the division, as your manager is found wanting. Plus the loss of your top scorer in January.

You on the other hand have shot out of the cannon reaching the dizzy heights. But be aware, our new manager has had to put up with Kean's left overs. Once he gets a grip with what is needed then watch us go!
Your route on the other hand is obviously downward when you lose your best players in January. Our best performance of the season will be on Dec 2nd. Then Henning will have settled in and put out a team to scare the living daylights out of you.

We have started slowly withour new manager.

So were the Blackburn players happy with Kean then? Then why have they not reacted the same as pur players then?
Or could it be that you are talking absolute ****?

Obviously the majority of Rovers players were happy with Kean. He bought them, Murphy, Dann etc. Only the players from BFS's regime were unhappy, That is why the best ones left. Jones, Samba etc. Even Robinson, MGP, Dunn i.e. those that stayed could not hide their disappointment at Kean and his tactics.

We are both two matches in, its too early for us to gloat and too soon for you to be concerned at HB's performance. Reading the match report it sounds like it was your best performance for some time.
