EVER since I covered the royal visit in Darwen last year, I have been slightly obsessed with Kate Middleton.

Never have I seen such a natural beauty who makes every little girl's dream of becoming a princess a reality.

"When I grow up I want to be a princess, just like Kate," was the answer one six-year-old told me.

But forget the infants who dream of being like Kate currently it's millions of women from across the world who aspire to Kate's stylish look.

The Duchess of Cambridge has become an unofficial ambassador of the high street and her style has been trending almost everywhere.

And despite the public pressure, Kate has maintained an image of elegance and every picture holds a genuine smile, embracing her royal celebrity status with dignity.

But for me, the best thing about her is that she wasn't born with a silver spoon in her mouth, neither was she introduced to Prince William by the Royal Family, but instead they met at University.

So it just goes to show that normal girls - who are in the right place at the right time...can be princesses!
