AT this vital stage in the season it is imperative that all Blackburn Rovers fans get behind their team.

And the overwhelming majority will be dismayed and angry at the idea of any true Blues selling their tickets to Manchester United fans.

With United only a point from securing the title, it’s obvious the official 7,500 away allocation will not be enough to satisfy the huge demand from Reds fans.

But the match is enormous for Rovers, too. Their position in the league is still precarious.

There will be a black market which some Rovers season ticket holders might find financially-tempting in these tough economic times.

That is no excuse whatsoever for doing something which is a criminal offence and has serious public safety implications.

Rovers, backed by police, have warned that any offenders will face ‘strong and appropriate’ action and so they most certainly should.

Fans should be focusing on backing their team, not making a fast buck.
