THE comments of British National Party candidate in the Blackburn with Darwen local council elections have rightly provoked revulsion and disgust today.
Nancy Shaw-Farmer’s offensive views were revealed in postings she made on her personal page on social networking site Facebook.
The 45-year-old Avon sales leader claims her remarks were jokes which only people without a sense of humour would find offensive.
But the majority of the public will surely find the comments repellent and racist.
The Lancashire Telegraph has decided to publish some of her remarks today to show just how distasteful they are.
It beggars belief that she seems to have no grasp at what is, and what is not, offensive.
People will need to make their own mind up about who they vote for tomorrow, but voters must think long and hard about whether this is the sort of person they want representing them on the council.
