RE: ‘IT’S a living nightmare. Every day presents a challenge’ (LT, May 21).
An excellent feature by Diane Cooke on dementia awareness.
Dementia, an illness so frustrating to the person and carer, affecting all aspects of living, takes away dignity and personality.
It’s so difficult for families whose loved one is the sufferer.
It’s good dementia is receiving public awareness and ways of support.
‘Singing for the brain’ on Fridays from 2pm to 4pm at Wesley Hall, Feilden Street, Blackburn, open to anyone, is a wonderful way to stimulate memories. Music stirs the soul.
It is an event sufferers, family members and carers will enjoy and will be made welcome.
My husband and I visit regularly, enjoying the sessions.
