I went to the Blackburn Rovers shop to enquire about tickets for the Blackburn v Liverpool FA Cup match.

I was going to get four tickets for me, my wife, son and daughter.

They informed me, for my son and daughter, the price was £30 each, and for myself and wife £22 each. The total price was £104.

I also asked why the price had been doubled from previous rounds in the FA Cup and was told it was because it was Liverpool.

I don’t care if it is Liverpool or Hartlepool, the price should not have been increased.

There is no way I can pay over £100, and financially there are thousands of Blackburn fans like me.

This match will be on TV and the cameras will show a half-empty Ewood Park.

Everyone in the town knows that when Rovers’ FA Cup run comes to an end they will not make the play-offs and will sell players to balance the books.
