As I asked What part of disgusting do you not understand?', this guy looked as me as if I was speaking the native language of Malawi.

He then shrugged his shoulders and walked off.

There is an air of uncleaniness about and I'm not talking about the way Shilpa Shetty disposes of a bad chicken dinner.

Just the other day, whilst wandering the streets of my home town, I witnessed a crime.

It was not the sort of crime you can get locked up for but it is a crime nonetheless.

And I not only witnessed this once but three times in a matter of days my dear Lancashire Telegraph readers.

Now, most people will know what a dead end is. A dead end means there is no through road to anything.

The road ends and if you are going down the dead end it means you are going down there for a reason.

Most people will stay away from dead ends unless they have something important to do.

So I was walking past this dead end.. or you can use the posh word...cul-de-sac if you want - but I'm not sure they mean the same things - and there's this guy urinating against the wall.

And after urinating he smartly walked away as if the whole thing was normal.

Days later I witnessed this same crime again. Had I just discovered the region's favourite spot for urinating against the wall?

Was this some kind of ritual some people went through at a certain time of day?

Things went pretty quiet for a few days and then I met someone I recognised.

This friend' as he once called himself was in conversation with me near this dead end and then decided to walk off mid-sentence into the spot to do the business.

I, of course, was shocked and asked him on his return why he did this?

"I don't know, I felt like it." he replied.

Now there may be more important things going on in the world and climate change may well be a major worry.

But things like this can get out of hand.

If people wish to go down dead ends please do it in the vicinity of your own homes - for example your own back gardens!

Even the dogs who frequent the field in front of my house are sometimes ashamed of themselves when they spot someone walking by.
