A MAN has appeared in court charged with the attempted rape of a teenager in Rossendale.
Lee Haslam, 28, of Phillipstown in Lumb, is also accused of stealing £150 and a mobile phone from the 19-year-old woman.
The charges relate to an incident which allegedly took place at around 4.30am on November 16 while the alleged victim walked along Shawclough Street, Waterfoot, following a night out.
Haslam will appear before Burnley Magistrates Court again today.
