A RUGBY club are set to host a fundraising day for a children's hospital next month.

Rossendale Rugby Club have organised the event to build up vital funds for Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.

The charity fun day will feature rides, raffle prizes, children's entertainment, auctions and stalls.

Other activities will include adult races, live music, and Humphrey The Bear, as well as food and refreshments.

Organisers said on Facebook: "Any local businesses that would like to help out, donate or anything please feel free to message us on Facebook.

"We are looking for stall holders, donations, any suggestions for activities on the day are more than welcome.

"Please keep an eye out for this event as we will be keeping you all informed on prizes, races, new things added and lots more.

"Hope to see you all there and hope we can all raise enough money to make Royal Manchester Children's Hospital a bigger and better Hospital."

The fundraiser takes place on Sunday, August 20 in the rugby club at Marl Pits, Rawtenstall between 12 noon and 7pm.
