HELMSHORE Mills Textile Museum will be adopting a Dickensian theme for its annual Christmas fair on Sunday, December 1.

The event, which is organised by the Friends of Helmshore Textile Museum, is the major fundraiser of the year.

The fair is also one of the museum’s busiest days of the year, usually attracting upwards of 1,500 visitors.

More than 50 craft stalls will be on show, offering a wide range of interesting, unusual, and beautifully- crafted gifts for Christmas.

In addition to the Helmshore Primary School Children's Choir, the museum will welcome back the Stacksteads Band, who will perform at intervals throughout the afternoon.

Louise Jacobsson, the museum manager, said: “The Friends’ Victorian-style Christmas Craft Fair is, in many respects, the high point of the season for us.”

The Christmas Fair will be open to visitors from 11am until 4.30pm.

Admission is £2 for adults, and free for children under 15.
