A MUSEUM helping people grow their own fruit and veg has received a donation of one tonne of topsoil.
Helmshore Mills Textile Museum is currently working with families and children to give them a helping hand in growing their own produce.
And the project received a boost thanks to the donation from house builder Taylor Wimpey.
Louise Jacobsson, Lancashire County Council's museum manager, said: “The contribution from Taylor Wimpey means so much to the local community and has enabled us to organise an additional gardening club session prior to our exhibition this summer.
“Kickstarting on July 3 and running right through until November, the presentation will demonstrate the group’s growth of an array of different fruits and vegetables including, potatoes, onions, beetroot, tomatoes and various types of beans.”
