A HUNT for a missing man with Alzheimer’s Disease ended with his discovery next to a remote reservoir.
Police and mountain rescue teams joined the search for 65-year-old Stephen Iggulden, who had disappeared after leaving his home in Edenfield on Sunday afternoon.
He was discovered by a volunteer, who had joined the hunt, close to Naden Reservoir, near Rochdale, early yesterday afternoon.
Mr Iggulden was said to enjoy regular walks in the countryside but his family alerted the authorities when he failed to return by early evening on Sunday.
An air ambulance later flew him to the Royal Blackburn Hospital for a full checkup.
