The capacity of the Market Street school is to be increased from 140 to 175 over the next five years. Under the plans a new visitors’ reception and office space will be created, along with a conservatory entrance to the north of the building.

County council highway officials had insisted on a new travel plan for the school, to address concerns about the impact on the roads network.
