BACUP Holy Trinity Stacksteads CE Primary School is holding an educational campaign about 'fatbergs'.
The event will raise children's awareness about the sewer system and how to stop masses of fat, oil grease, wet wipes and other waste clogging up our drains.
This comes as a 130-tonne fatberg was found in London's sewers last month.
A spokesman from the Ager Street school said: "The campaign will help teachers and students at the school learn about how fatbergs are formed and how to fight them.
"By the end of the lesson they will have modelled their own fatberg and become certified fatberg fighters.
"The overall idea is to empower kids to teach their parents and their families how to be responsible and treat the sewer system and environment with respect.
"Therefore we can avoid huge fatbergs forming."
